No doubt, Trump is putting the "Fear" of the might of the United States Armed Forces into rogue dictators like the formerly bombastic man/child of North Korea. The title of this book "Fear" can be interpreted many ways. Also while reading Fear, I kept in mind that, as a Fox News panelist during one fateful Sunday's episode, he called the Clinton Foundation and at least one of the Clintons "corrupt" three times during a single show! He is a terrific writer and more often than not is quite objective in what he writes.įor example, in the early chapters of "FEAR" he isn't particularly complimentary of Barack Obama and the mess he left for Trump including North Korea. If you won't take the time to read my post, you probably wouldn't take the time to read any of Woodward's books either. At least when you see the length of this post, you can delete it in a New York second. As a long time reader of Woodward, I just felt I needed to put the media's spin on the book in perspective because most Americans only read text messages now. I am cognizant of how the media has portrayed "Fear". However, if you look at what has transpired over the past two years, it turns out that more often than not, he was right and they were wrong. If you read the book, it will seem like many of his advisors disagree with him often.

You may not like how Trump goes about it, however I believe his intentions are completely valid and justifiable. I read books like this to find out what motivates Presidents and their Cabinets and how they go about attempting to rectify past mistakes. The activities of the Trump Administration affect the stock market every day and Trump's efforts to balance trade deficits are going to affect American businesses for decades. LinkedIn is business media but also includes posts about everything that influences business. Some of my best friends have said I shouldn't write long messages like this on Social Media. if you trust the author to present them objectively. It was a fascinating read and was an example of how public perception can be far different than the facts. My favorite was "The Commanders" about Bush 1's military commanders and the decision making process during Gulf War I. All the Presidents Men with Carl Bernstein). Below is a list of all of the books that Woodward authored by himself or co-authored (i.e.

One Republican AND Woodward fan's point of reviewĬurrently I am reading the book "Fear" by Bob Woodward.
